Tata Harrier, the new SUV of Tata Motors, has been in the limelight for a long time. Waiting for SUV Lovers on this new car is going to end now, as Tata Motors will start booking the Harrier from October 15. Harrier can be booked by paying 30,000 rupees on the dealership. This booking amount will be refundable. According to the reports, the company will soon take the curtain off this powerful SUV. At the same time, Harrier’s official launch will be done in January 2019.
Tata Harrier SUV will be based on Land Rover’s Omega platform. There will be Kryotec 2.0 engine in it. This engine will meet future BSVI emission standard (emission standard). The company claims that this new 2.0-liter, four-cylinder diesel engine is driven by cryogenic rocket engines.
According to Tata Motors, this engine uses liquid hydrogen in the form of an oxidizer, which is much less polluting than the current fuel. This Crytech Motor is built on Low friction valve train architecture. The engine has been equipped with advanced EGR to meet strict emission standards and to give good fuel economy.
An electric variable geometry turbocharger (eVGT) with the new 2.0-liter cryotech engine has been given. Earlier this year, it was seen in the latest-generation Mahindra XUV5OO. In the Tata Harrier, this engine will generate 140 bhp power, while in the seven seater versions named H7X code, this engine will generate 170 bhp power. The engine is equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox. 6-speed automatic gearbox can also be given as an option.
