Whenever a new bike comes in the 150 cc segment, people start expecting more than that. This is one thing that motivates auto companies to constantly give their best. Suzuki Gixxer 155cc Design and Looks
The Indian bike market has become quite mature in design and style. Suzuki motorcycle was not so forward-looking in terms of design. Gixxer is the first 150 cc motorcycle, which has been worked seriously on design. The result has emerged as a modern and good looking bike. In the case of looks it is necessary to mention three things. First, its fuel tank, which is a muscular design looks not only cool but also practical. Its curve gives the handle the place to move and the knees fit it within itself. Second, its double outlet exhaust is a new experiment in this segment and the third is its body colored grab rail which is mixed with the whole design in a way that makes its look better. A little more thought could be made on the design of alloy wheels and head light.
Suzuki Gixxer Features
Turning on the bike, a large-screen LCD digital monitor starts to glow. The console is featured with a clock and gear indicator in addition to speedometer, tachometer, fuel indicator, dual trip meter. The last two features are a lot of work, but do not know why the companies have ignored these small but useful features. The pass switch and manual chocks are also provided on the handle bar. Overall build quality is quite good and gives a premium bike flex, but the plastic quality of the switch is a bit weaker. Rear view mirrors are good for design but do not cover much of the area. In cities like Delhi where multilayer traffic runs and people do not follow the rules too much, the rear view mirror becomes the Practicality Advantage. Alloy wheels of 17 inches have been combined with tubeless tires. In the front wheel, 266 mm disc brake has been given. If there is a choice of disc brake in the previous wheel, then a better package is created.
Suzuki Gixxer ABS System
The wait is over as the bike is load with ABS (Anti-lock brake system) that is the supplemental system which automatically controls the braking force efficiently and avoids wheel lock up due to the slippery road, the sudden change of road conditions or excessive braking in a certain controllable range.
Suzuki Gixxer Engine and Performance
Suzuki has a 155 cc SOHC engine in the Gixxer. This engine gives the power of 14.6 bhp and the torque of about 14 nm. These figures look good and you also feel this while running the bike. You should not expect much in terms of performance as it comes with single cylinder engine. From this point of view, this engine will not disappoint you. Take special, and in mid-range you get plenty of power. A little reduction in power is felt when you take it to the peak. This bike can easily get speed up to 100 kmph and it can compete any bike in speed up to 80 kmph in this segment. This bike does not look very heavy and it is not difficult for the people of the common sticks to handle it too. The good thing is that there was no problem in getting rid of it from the crowded areas and it remained stable even on highways. Breaks and suspensions also work well.
Suzuki Gixxer Competitors
Suzuki has taken this step with great thinking this time and the result is in front of you as a good product. In the case of quality, Suzuki has always been trusted, but in this segment, the competition is very tough. It’s not so easy to snatch market shares from its rivals such as Yamaha’s FZ, R15, Honda’s CBR, Hero Extreme and TVS’s Apache.

Gixxer has been priced at an attractive price of more than Rs. 72,000 and it is low on Yamaha FZ version 2.0 to Rs. 76,000. Which can be a cleaner for Suzuki.
