Sarahah is a messaging app created by a software engineer from Saudi Arabia. The word sarah in Arabic language means honesty. That is, anybody can say anything about you honestly.

 

This app is becoming very popular quickly. More than 50 lakh people have downloaded this so far. The website of Saraah was already very popular in the Middle East, but now after the release of its app it has increased the curiosity of people in India too.

 

The main work of this app is being used to tease someone (on-line bullying) or make fun of him without identifying himself. But the apprehension is that this app can also be used to disturb people.

 

Even though giant messaging apps like Whatsapp and Facebook are already present, this app is becoming increasingly popular among the people. This app was launched in June and it has been downloaded 5 million, or 50 million times, from Google Play Store so far.
