Director Meghna Gulzar made ‘Talwar’, a film based on the Aarushi Talwar Murder Mystery, which was highly appreciated a few time ago and Filhaal. Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Raazi’ is a beautiful gift for everyone, who loves their country. This movie is inspired by the true story of an Indian undercover agent. In 1971, during the war situation between India and Pakistan, how the undercover agent helped India by getting the necessary information from Pakistan, it is shown in the film. Based on the novel ‘Calling Sehmat’ of Retired Navy Officer Harinder Sikka, the film is produced by Wild Pictures and Dharma Productions.
The story of the film shows a tense atmosphere between India and Pakistan during 1971, which is then transformed into war. The story starts with Pakistan when Pakistan is preparing for the war and its focus on destabilizing the country for destroying India. It is known to a Kashmiri businessman Hidayat Khan (Rajit Kapoor). In connection with trade, he often goes to Pakistan and has good friendship with Brig Parvez Sayyed (Shishir Sharma) who in Pakistani army. Hidayat takes a great decision to protect his country by resorting to this friendship. He asks the Brigadier to hand out his son, Iqbal (Vicky Kaushal), who is an Army Officer for his daughter, Sehmat (Alia Bhatt). She is a very fragile Kashmiri girl, who does not know that her father has written her future in Pakistan. Although by seeing her father in trouble for the country, she agrees for this marriage. Sehmat now, for the sake of his father and his country, she is ready to be India’s eye and ears in Pakistan. Before this, the Sehmat started doing her preparation for becoming a prank spy and preparing for this fight from Pakistan under the RAW agent Khalid Mir (Jaideep Ahlawat). Iqbal marry with Sehmat and she crosses the threshold of India by becoming a daughter-in-law from a daughter. In an enemy country, Sehmat makes a place in the heart of her in-laws and along with this, she has also delivered successfully the secret information of the Pakistan Army to India. Being able to do all this in the midst of an army family is difficult for Sehmat. During this time, she has to take many such decisions, which she never thought about them. Between this whole story a small love story arises, which is Sehmat and Iqbal. Talk about a reduction in film, then the story progresses very fast. Along with the film, you can easily guess about the next story.
Alia has taken the entire story very well on her shoulders. On screen you will not only be the beauty of Alia, but also the actress of her acting. In the role of Pak army officer, the wiki skills are fantastic. A royal, balanced and highly sensitive man, who understands the feelings of his wife being in the face of things in India in Pak. Your heart will be happy to see Jaideep Ahlawat in the role of RAW agent. Rajit Kapoor, Shishir Sharma, and Arif Zakaria gave 100 percent of their respective characters. In the role of Aliya’s mother, her real mother, Soni Razdan’s scenes are quite low.
Meghna Gulzar is one of those directors who makes a good play on the story and their characters. Ask the art of his direction that you will not be able to return to the world beyond the screen for a moment. There is so much speculation in his direction that along with the story of the film, along with the border across Pakistan, you will start feeling yourself.
Lyrics and Music
The four songs of the movie ‘Dilbaro’, ‘Ae Watan’, ‘Raazi’, and ‘Ae Watan’ (Female) are very good. For ‘A Watan’, the music director Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has joined hands with the legendary songwriter Gulzar and with his voice made it more beautiful. The song ‘Dilbaro’, filmed on the daughter’s farewell, is very close to the emotional relationship of a father-daughter. The title track of the film, ‘Raji’ shows the journey till Alia becomes a detective.
From a girl studying in college to staying in Pakistan, this story of a girl spying on India, tells the story of all those unknowingly-unfriendly faces who served the country, but she did not mention anything about her Found. Untold stories of such heroes tell you that the film does not disappoint you.
