Moto G6 Play Design and Looks
Speaking of the look of Moto G6 Play, its rear attracts the most buyers. The phone is much like the Moto G6 to look at rear side. The G6 Play is similar to the rear camera module G6 but the company has used plastic instead of glass here which comes with very glossy finish so that the glass can be confused. The build quality of the phone is great and it feels quite strong. It is convenient to use G6 Play with one hand. However, it slips through the hands and fingerprints are easily placed on the rear.
The phone has a fingerprint sensor under the rear camera, in which Motorola’s battery life is integrated. The fingerprint sensor works fast and properly. Volume rockers and power buttons are given on the right in the handset. There is a SIM tray on the left in the phone, which can be used for two Nano SIM cards or a Nano and a MicroSD card. All buttons are easy to use. In the G6 play the 3.5mm audio jack on the upper edge and micro-USB port on the bottom edge are given.
Moto G6 Play Display
Moto G6 Play has a 5.7-inch HD + IPS display with an aspect ratio of 18: 9. The screen is borderless but there is empty space on the bottom which is not of any use. The display panel is bright and viewing angles are fantastic. But sometimes the text appears to be scattered and it is disappointing compared to full HD panels being given in other budget phones today. The olive-on-display feature is provided in the phone.
Moto G6 Play Software
Basic tasks are easily done in the Moto G6 Play but many apps run in the background while being open in the background and during internet surfing. The phone runs Android 8.0 on the near-stock version of Oreo. The phone offers olive-on-display, moto buttons through which the password can be encrypted using fingerprint. It has an active display which remains on view in the phone.
Moto G6 Play Camera
The photos taken in the night from the rear camera given in the phone come in dark and they look noses. At the same time, the quality of pictures taken in good light are good and they have good detailing and color. But the dynamic range of both the front and rear cameras is poor and the shots look over-exposed.
The photos taken in less light than the front camera of the phone are scattered with dark and poor detailing. The front camera comes with a beauty mode, which can remove the scars in the photos. The video shot at 1080p pixels is better than both the quality front and rear. Detection remains average.
Moto G6 Play Performance
In G6 Play, there is no problem playing games like Subway Surfers and Soft-8 but sometimes the frame rate drops. We did not see any problem with heating in the Moto G6 play. Applications like Facebook, Phone Pay, LinkedIn and Outlook are pre-installed in Moto G6 and can not be uninstalled. The fingerprint sensor given in the phone works properly and fast.
Moto G6 Play Battery
The 4000 mAh battery given in the phone goes more than a day with normal use. The phone has a 15-watt turbo charger so that the phone is fully charged in about 2 hours.
Time to Make A Decision
Moto G6 play looks beautiful and its build quality is also great. It is easy to use the phone with one hand. Battery life is good and the software provides some work features. However, the phone’s camera is average and their performance is not very good.
G6 Play is an average smartphone and it will be challenged by budget smartphones such as Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Redmi Note 5, Samsung Galaxy J6. Apart from this, Real Me 1 also comes with a strong processor in the same range.
