Preparation for bringing 225 DDiS variants

Booking in 10 thousand rupees only
Maruti has started booking a new diesel engine and has also started booking in Ciaz’s Nexa showroom. New Engine is not only powerful but also sophisticated compared to the old engine. The new variant of CIA may be booked by giving only Rs. 10,000 on the Nexa showroom. Maruti has developed the E15A 1.5 liter diesel engine in-house.
BS-4 version will be launched only
At the same time, this new engine will replace the old 1.3 liter diesel engine. Although this engine is BS-6 Ready, it will launch its BS-4 version in the beginning. At the same time, its BS-6 version will be launched before April 1, 2020. After Ciaz, the new engine will also be visible in New Artiga, after which it will also be visible in Diesel Vitara Braja, S-Cross.
Ciaz prices will increase
Maruti is well aware of this fact that it can prove to be expensive for setting up a BS-6 engine, after which it will increase the prices of Cia and influence its cellular counterparts. Due to the introduction of diesel engine according to BS-6 standards, prices may rise up to Rs 1.5 lakh.
New engine will provide mileage of 26.82 km per liter
Maruti Ciaz with 1.5 liter 4 cylinder DDiS 225 diesel engine will be available in Delta, Zeta and Alpha variants. The new engine will provide torque of power of 94 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 225 nm at 1500 to 2500 rpm. The new Ciaz 6 speed will come with manual transmission. The new engine will not be launched at Siyaz’s entry level variants Sigma, which will have a 1.3 liter diesel engine. The new engine will provide mileage of 26.82 km per liter. At the same time old Ciaz comes with 5-speed manual transmission, which gives 28.09 km per liter of mileage. In addition, the old engine signaling battery comes with Li-Ion SVHS Mild-Hybrid System. Whereas this feature will not be available in the 1.5 liter diesel engine Ciaz.

Price up to 12 lakh with new engine
At the moment, Ciaz comes in sigma, delta, zeta and alpha variant. With the new engine, the price of Ciaz will be more than Rs. 10 lakhs. Where the Ciaz with the old engine starts at Rs 9.19 lakh with ex-showroom price, then with the new engine, the price of the Ciaz can be around 12 lakhs.
