History is a witness that victory is fought for self-esteem and pride, but it leaves such a deep impression of heroism that they are remembered even after centuries. Akshay Kumar’s ‘Kesari’ is also the story of a similar war fought in saragarhi in 1897, where only 21 Sikh soldiers had not only taken iron by reducing 10 thousand Afghans, but had rescued their sixes. For a long time, the character of Kumar has turned towards patriotism and issues. After films such as Holiday, Rustom, Airlift, Baby, Toilet A Prem Katha, Padman and Gold, she is now brought with Kesari on the occasion of Holi. After the surgical strike, the wave of patriotism is on the horizon and its film can benefit.
Havildar Ishwar Singh (Akshay Kumar) posted on the Gulistan Fort is employed in the army of the British Raj. In the hands of the Afghan donor (Rakesh Chaturvedi Om), he protects a married woman from being a pen. Since this work has been done against the will of his English boss, then as a punishment, he is transferred from Gulistan Fort to saragarhi Fort. After coming to saragarhi, Icher thinks there is a lack of discipline in the 21 soldiers there. He first teaches the soldiers a lesson of discipline and then becomes their true leader and he fills them with bravery. Eshar Singh remembers his wife (Parineeti Chopra) in his thoughts and talks with him on his issues. Like Ishwar Singh, other soldiers also remember their family members. Meanwhile, he realizes that the Afghan donor is going to attack Saragari by creating a large army of Afghani Pathans. In order not to send any help to the British government, Ishwar Singh is advised to leave the fort along with his men, but Ier Singh remembers that Englishman Major, who said that you are a Hindustani coward, that is why our slaves Ho. At that time, Ichhar Singh decides to be martyred for his pride instead of fighting for his job, money or British rule and in his decision, 21 young soldiers are ready to sacrifice their lives.
First half of the film is very slow. The interval till director Anurag Singh has put the characters in place to install the characters. Despite being a war film, the real story begins after the intermission, when ten thousand Afghans attack 21 soldiers of Saragari. The stunts and choreography of the war scenes are so gorgeous and it makes your hair grow. Akshay is also known as Action Kumar and the director has cashed in on his image by offering surprise action in it. In 1897, Anshul Choubey has made an authoritative contribution from his capable fathom, but it also has to give credit to the production design of Subrata Chakraborty and Amit Ray. The film’s look is perfect, but the screenplay is weak. Dialogues are passionate, but many places seem precible. Climax leaves a deep impression.
From the perspective of look and acting, in the form of Ihsar Singh, it will not be wrong if you call it Akshay Kumar’s best performance so far. He has done great work on screen with the emotions of innocence and bravery. Akshay has done very beautifully with the words spoken by the Sikhs in his dialogue. Bhale Parineeti Chopra is shown as a special guest in the credit, but his role is so small that he can not leave the effect nor any relief as being a romantic angle. Rakesh Chaturvedi Om has done a good job as an Afghan donor. All artists have given honest performance as Sikh soldiers.
In the music of Tanishq Bagchi, Romi and Brajesh Shandilya sang, the song ‘Sanu Kehindi’ is being liked. It is 11th in the top 20 chart of Radio Mirchi.
