According to the report, Apple is working on new display technology to stay in the competition. According to a new Bloomberg report, Apple is working on the curved display. According to the source, Apple is working on creating top and bottom curve of the display. The present iPhone X also has a curved display which is internally curved with the bottom and it does not appear clearly.
According to the previous reports, Apple is working on a new design and is working on its own Micro LED display so that it can compete with other competitors such as Samsung and LG.
Apart from this, the new report also shows that Apple will include the touch less gesture control feature in its smartphones in upcoming next two to five years. Samsung has already been using air gesture control for a few years through which an e-book page can be changed. Apart from Samsung, Google’s ATAP Research Group is also working on this technology under Project Soli. However, Samsung uses the motion sensor on front bezel to offer gesture to the air. On the other hand, Apple will use a less rudimentary approach with technology to detect gestures directly in the display.
According to the report, Apple is working on three new iPhone this year, two of which can use the OLED display (iPhone X and iPhone X Plus) and the third new iPhone will come with LCD display.
